Money comes for Crusaders in Super Rugby Final

The big money has started to come for the Crusaders to ruin the Reds party on Saturday night with New Zealanders backed from $1.63 to $1.58 with Sportingbet Australia.

The Reds are $2.40 outsiders despite topping the Super Rugby Final and having the home ground advantage but Sportingbet Australia CEO Michael Sullivan said he was keen to risk the short priced Crusaders.

“We have seen a number of big bets come for the Crusaders in the last twenty four hours both straight out at $1.63 and giving up 3.5 start at $1.91, “ Sullivan said.

“The Reds did beat the Crusaders here during the season and I think at $2.40 the Reds are clearly the value.

“I am more than happy to accommodate punters who want to keep backing the Crusaders at these odds.”

Sullivan said the Reds were a terrible result for bookmakers after they were backed heavily before the season even kicked off.

“We took a huge number of bets at $17 and $15 before some big punters came along including one punter who had $10,000 at $12,” he said

“Those punters will have plenty of reason to cheer tomorrow night after putting their faith in the Reds when few others were.”
