Labor Odds Shorten As Kosky Resigns

Following the resignation of Public Transport Minister Lynne Kosky, Sportsbet.com.au reports a wave of bets on Labor to win the next Victorian election.

As a result, the price for a Labor victory has been trimmed to $1.18, while punters can get $4.60 on a Coalition victory.

“With respect to Ms Kosky, our analysts believe the public transport portfolio is an area which may prove a thorn in Labor’s side at the next election,” said Sportsbet.com.au’s Haydn Lane.

“The odds of $1.18 on a Labor win following Kosky’s resignation seem short, however, judging by today’s betting some punters now see Labor as a sure thing and a better return on their money than bank interest.”
