Punters stick with Geelong Cats
Sportingbet Australia punters are not interested in backing West Coast to hand Geelong a second consecutive loss on Friday night.
Sportingbet Australia CEO Michael Sullivan said it was one way traffic for the Cats in early betting.
“We’ve already taken bets including $5000 and $4000 at $1.80 on Geelong and punters are treating them as the good things of the round,” said Sullivan.
“You have to go back to Rounds 14 and 15 in 2009 since Geelong lost consecutive matches and right back to Rounds 4 and 5 in 2007 before that.
“Add to that the record of teams coming off a bye this season and the loss of Quentin Lynch and we can’t find a punter who wants to get on the Eagles.”
West Coast are currently $2.02 for the match which will be an examination of their Top 4 credentials.
